Experienced Butcher - Job Specification
Reporting to a Team Lead this position is based in Inverurie.
Purpose:
Working within the Butchery Team to ensure that the final products meet the quality and specifications required by Donald Russell and its customers
Accountabilities:
- On a daily basis, preparation of products to both customer and Donald Russell specifications and standards
- Operation of any machinery used during the butchery process (full training will be provided)
- Ability to understand and adhere to traceability procedures
- Good housekeeping and ensuring all equipment is kept in good condition
- Maintain quality and hygiene standards
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation and Donald Russell QHSE procedures
Qualifications:

Experience:
- Previous butchery skills within a meat production environment
- Demonstrable knowledge of meat products and knife skills
Skills and Competencies:

Production Operative
Working within the Production Team based at Inverurie, developing skills required to ensure that the final products meet the quality and specifications set by Donald Russell and its customers.

Production Operative - Job Specification
Reporting to a Team Lead this position is based in Inverurie.
Working hours are Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week (6 am – 2.30 pm) with overtime when required.

Duties will include:
- On a daily basis, preparation of product to Donald Russell and customer standards and specifications
- Develop basic knife skills to trim and debone meat products (full in house training given)
- Operation of any machinery used during the production process (full training will be provided)
- Weighing and packing meat products
- Counting, moving, lifting and stacking product as required (training in manual handling will be given)
- Completion of specification paperwork
- Good housekeeping and ensuring all equipment is kept in good condition
- Maintain quality and hygiene standards
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience within a food despatch environment would be beneficial but not essential
- Knowledge of meat products and knife skills would be beneficial but not essential
- Ability to understand and adhere to food safety standards

Working within the Added Value team to ensure the final products meet those set by Donald Russell and it's customers

General Operative ((Packer) - Job Specification
Reporting to a Team Lead this position is based in Kintore.
Purpose:
Working within the Packng Team to ensure that the final Donald Russell product is packed to meet the quality and specifications required by Donald Russell and its customers
Accountabilities:
- On a daily basis, packing the customer orders to exact specifications
- Counting, moving, lifting and stacking products
- Packing of Dry ice when required
- Ensuring that work areas are kept clean and tidy
- Ensuring that all personal equipment is kept in safe working order
- Ensure good housekeeping practices within the work area
- Maintaining quality and hygiene standards
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation, BRC requirements and Donald Russell QHSE procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience within a food dispatch environment beneficial but not essential
- Knowledge of relevant picking and packing equipment

- Ability to understand and adhere to food safety standards

- Previous experience within a food environment is beneficial but not essential
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to understand and adhere to food safety standards
- Manual dexterity for production of intricate products
